Here is how to hide the vertical ruler in Word 2013 – Here are the same steps, but with pictures – Step 1: Open Word 2013. Step 2: Click the File tab at the top-left corner of the window.
Step 3: Click Options in the column at the left side of the window.
Step 4: Click Advanced in the left column of the Word Options window.
Step 5: Scroll to the Display section, then click the box to the left of Show vertical ruler in Print Layout view to remove the check mark. You can then click the OK button to close the Word Options window and apply your changes.
