If you want to allow notifications from some specific sites, you need to scroll to the bottom of the page and add the URL of that site you want notifications from to the ‘Allow’ section. And, if you don’t desire to get notifications from some particualr sites, click the three vertical dots icon right next to the displeasing site, and select ‘Remove’ to stop notifications. You can also allow ‘quieter notification prompts’ as shown in the above image, which allows sites to ask to send notifications. For this Use quieter messaging (it will block notification prompts from disturbing you). You won’t get notifications after you ignore multiple notifications from a site, or if other users typically don’t allow notifications from a site. For Windows 7 or 8, you have to uncheck apps and extensions that you don’t want notifications from as shown in the image below. Also, note there is an option called ‘Hide icon and notifications’ in both Windows and Mac that will help you get rid of all Chrome notifications.
