On the last day of the year you may wake up seeing your complete and last and first name on your Foursqaure profile page. Forursquare has decided to do some amendments to its privacy policy. An email regarding this change has already been sent to the members. According to the company the alterations have been done as the current mix of full names and “first name, last initial” names were found confusing by the users. When the company was growing the initials of the members made sense but now as the company is growing the membership numbers are too large for members to keep track of who is using full names,and who is using abbreviations. In addition to this Foursquare will now let businesses to see the long-drawn-out list of the users. At present the services allow businesses to see the previous three hours’ worth of check-ins. But a lot of businesses only have time to log in at the end of the day to look at it. So, with this change, we’re going to be showing them more of those recent check-ins, instead of just three hours worth,” And are we sure that this may not cause the Instagram style revolt.
